The MySQL Front-End Modules are currently supported on modern versions of CentOS, and Fedora systems. Currently, only x86_64 platforms are supported.
Support for other Linux systems will be available soon.
First, install the SQL Relay Binary Distribution for Linux from the SQL Relay Download Page. Just download the distribution, extract it, and install the RPM's for your platform.
The MySQL Front-End Modules are not currently supported with versions of SQL Relay built from source.
The MySQL Front-End Modules are available for download at: http://www.firstworks.com/sqlrenterprise/sqlrelay-enterprise-modules-1.2.0.tar.gz
To extract the distribution, run:
tar xf sqlrelay-enterprise-modules.tar.gz
This should create a directory named sqlrelay-enterprise-modules with subdirectories for each supported platform. Just install the RPM's for your platform. For example:
cd sqlrelay-enterprise-modules sudo rpm -i centos-7/sqlrenterprise-mysql-frontend-*.rpm
Or, see the README found inside of the sqlrelay-enterprise-modules directory for more information.
